As the European Parliament and Council work to draft an ePrivacy Regulation the Alliance is working with stakeholders and policymakers to avoid unnecessary constraints to data uses and innovation. As it stands, the new framework sets a new and unnecessarily burdensome standard for securing online communications and tracking confidentiality. Policies, no matter how well intended, that overzealously limit communication and content data collection have an enormously negative affect on small businesses and software developers.
